Although we have a few traditional gifts on our registry for some household upgrades, we decided to include experiences and expenses for our honeymoon to Jamaica where guests can make contributions if so inclined. The biggest gift of all, however, is your presence on our Big Day. Thank you for your love, and we can’t wait to share our honeymoon adventures with you!

We'll sail away on our honeymoon into the sunset aboard our private boat with experienced crew members. While sipping our favorite drinks and nibbling from a fresh tropical fish platter, we will feel the sea mist on our faces and indulge in the warm Jamaican wind racing through our hair. On our journey we'll get to take the most breathtaking photos and talk of many more tropical island sunsets to come!

We'll explore and navigate the rapids of the river, with local guides to show us a Jamaica we would have never imagined. We'll experience the magical waters with a lovely shade under trees full of places where we can sit, eat and drink and then go for dip in the cool water.

We will start in the heart of the jungle and take a look at the wild side over the great River that separates the two parishes. We will travel across unique traverses with intermittent nature walks through the amazing rainforest, river cannon and mountains demonstrating the diversity of Jamaica’s landscape and history. The highlight of the tour is the “inter-parish express” that carries us at over 35mph and across 360 meters. Gliding silently through a tunnel of tree leaves and branches (The Canopy) will be an unforgettable experience!

Appleton Estate Rum Tour

Appleton Estate Rum Tour

We'll marvel at the workings of the Appleton Estate, a rum distillery that's known for creating one of the world's smoothest and most sought-after rums. As we arrive at the estate we'll be served a welcome cocktail before watching a short video of the centuries old rum making process in a state of the art theatre. Next we'll get to sample fresh sugarcane juice as we watch a live demonstration of the traditional method of extracting the juice from the raw cane. Then learn about the unique distillation process and visit one of the barrel houses where the rums are aged to perfection. We'll get to enjoy the finished products as we sample three different Appleton Estate blends.
